need to talk to someone who owns a model of this year/type. Have a dometic(generac) genny, won't power up micro. or A/C. This had 2 a/c units previous owner removed one. I have 2 C/B panels and a 12v fuse panel. the genny has a 30A breaker and a 20A breaker but M/H is only wired for 30 amp service. Wondering if someone changed this...as C/B panel #2 is jumped off of buss bar from panel #1. Everything works fine when on shore power... even disconnected romex from genny and jammed the 2 leads into a extension cord and all was good, so got to be a genny issue(putting out 125 volts no load)
I haven't had a HR but on that age vehicle there may not be an automatic transfer switch. What that means is you may have to manually plug in the power cord to an outlet somewhere in the MH. My '89 Jamboree had this outlet in the cord compartment.

Had an 1989 HR Imperial previously and it had a generator. I had to plug the shore power cord into the outlet for the generator to power up the coach from the generator since it didn't have an automatic transfer switch. Since you indicated you have a manual transfer I'll assume that's what you're doing.
As for the 20 amp and 30 amp breakers, I don't know. Normally, when a generator has two breakers it is because it has two outlets, but you can only use one at a time. Does it have a switch? You're coach shouldn't be wired for two independant circuits (50 amp) as those weren't common until much later, but maybe a former owner rewired to accomodate parks with 50 amp service. Having two circuit breaker panels would suggest something along that line. I wish I could suggest something further, but I'm at a loss. Good luck.

I think the 20 amp breaker is now useless. The 30 is for the entire MH that works off of the 30 amp plugin and the 20 was for the second AC to run the second AC from the generator. The fact that the second AC isn't there probably makes the 20 amp CB useless. I would keep it reset to try everything and then see what happens if it is shut off. If there is nothing connected I would vote for leaving it off.
