Needless to say... get your paper trail in order and keep a log of who what when type thing. They are going to fight you, almost willing to bet.

insurance??
Ok, so appears it was leaking in more then one spot... They say if it has been leaking for an extended period its not covereed, if its sudden its covereed. Last summer right before winter it was dry under there. Then we parked it. Thats about as sudden as it gets...

YA they looked at the mold and said Yep, long time leaker...Have they been able to isolate the leaks yet?
"leaking for an extended period its not covered" true, if this is a cracked water line or loose fitting was ther leak "new and sudden to you"? How are you supposed to inspect for water leaks that are behind or under walls or floors? It was sudden to me when I stepped on soft wood. Maybe insurance adjuster will meet you half way. You got any trees that need to come down, like with your trailer as a landing pad..sudden like ..just trying to improve my property how was I supposed to know tree would land right on top of it?
Feel your you. We had carpendar ants eat the back 1/2 of our house. Insurance not covered, "natural pest we should of known about it" Didn't see them coming in and I don't remove my walls to inspect, how is this my fault? But my druggie neighbor son catches his parents kitchen on fire it is covered because it is sudden.
When you get the bid to fix it and after you catch your breath send me a PM and I'll give the names of RV fix it guys we like, bear in mine they all charge a lot per hour. Maybe after getting the bid you can atleast do the tear down yourself, at $110.00 hour doesn't take long to get big $$ tied up. Or do all the work yourself, just takes time and water damage always looks worse tha it is. Just IMO

WEll, i didnt see any mold. the only sign of what i MIGHT think was mold was on the very outside of the underbody where the insulation was wet there was some darkness on the insulation.
I dont know how this is going to go. IF there is 3 leaks, 2 or internal/sudden, the 3rd being something leaking since new i hope they can just pay me out and i will repair it myself.
I am very confused , as one above poster stated you are all over the map with your thoughts or actions. You were going to fix it ,then you were going to talk with the dealer service, which is where you should start, now you have the insurance company involved .
Brrr you are like confused , please do what someone else stated ,walk away from the issue for a couple of days.
Then address it professionally with the dealer first.. One month out of warrantee not even that with all the mold etc means it has been going on for a while.
This to me means you have a case if handled correctly. If they turn a deaf ear to you you may have a case for litigation...JMHO

Don't know about WA law but in CA the fact that there were documented water leaks during the warranty period sets a precedent that the original claim was not closed. Was the original paperwork written as water leak in underbelly or specifically water leak from shower. Especially given the short time frame from new.
Regarding the 90 day leak warranty what is that specified in the original warranty statement that came with the unit?

Im not all over the board. I called the dealer/ service/ forest river. Sorry, nothing we can do on water damage. NOTHING. 90 days thats it. Ok. so my next option is for me to fix it myself, as i looked into fixing it myself i saw on this website someone mentioned insurance coverage. I called my insurance company and they are now on it.
Where is the confusion?? The dealer wont do anything. Forest River wont do anything. The service department for the dealership wouldnt take it until end of july and flat out told me to go somewhere else.
90 day warranty. Thats it. I should know more today when the insurance calls me back. If the insurance wont cover it, then i will go back to stage one, the dealer. Especially if they can prove that its been leaking since it was new. I dont even want to go that route.

The insurance company stated to me that if it is a leak that has been going on since new, they will cover it, then go after forest river if they feel there is some negligence on their part. So the insurance is going to handle both scenarios.

There is a compression fitting on the hot water heater that appears to have not been crimped from the factory. The water leak wasn't happening during the summer so it was something that had to happened after the freeze.
