Well, did my new to us 5er with the Zep Wet Look. I was worried but I think it turned out well.

The last thing I did like this was the truck camper with Poli-Glow.

The wet look goes on about the same as the Poli-Glow although it dries much faster than Poli-Glow.

So here is the process.

Starting pictures. This rig was WAY oxidized. Very bad. The pictures don't show it as bad as it was.

First you take the barkeepers friend and a scrubbie and go at it. For me, it took about 4 man hours. I hired one of my x-students to help me. Took 2 people, 2 solid hours to scrub the entire thing. Doesn't include rinsing.

Then I used a flow through brush to rinse. You hook it to a hose and it rinses and brushes with ling soft brushes at the same time. Makes getting the powder off easier.

So here it is after scrubbing.

Then I took normal bleach and hosed the camper down.

Then I went after it with the Zep. Some was put on with just a simple micro-fiber cloth. But for large areas I took another micro-fiber cloth and rolled it around a 2x2 and stapled it on to make an applicator like the one that came with my Poli-Glow kit. I seem to have misplaced that one.

After the first coat you will wonder why you are doing this....it looks so bad. Then the second coat is worse. Streaks and lines all over. Looks like crap.

I tuned up the contrast on this pic so you could see it.

Now the finished results.

3rd coat looks better and after the 4th coat it all of a sudden looks super. It take all of 4 coats. You can still see streaks on the first 3 coats. The 4th coat makes them all go away...pretty much.

Stickers bled like a son of a gun but now look great.

I had not less than half a dozen people stop and ask what I was putting on the rig. No one believed me it was Zep.

One guy said he paid $700 to have his 40 footer done.

Thanks for showing the steps and products you used.

We did ours last summer an it has not been washed since last fall and still looks better than after a fresh wash before RMP/Zep.

I think it would reduce time on the market for most any RV for sale.

Did my front cap and one side last year, and didn't get around to the rest. Did the back cap this afternoon. Now it looks great, and the front cap still looks great too. Will do the remaining side and put the refresher coat on in the next couple of weeks. Still on the first (and last, I guess) gallon of RMP. A lot of work, but soooo worth it!

I thought it was going to take way more product to do it all. Took only 2 cans of barkeepers and took less than one gallon of Zep. I will have enough of both to last a long time.

Mines a year and a half old and still holding its original look except for the top of the front cap over the windshield. It started to dull a bit. I scrubbed it down and gave it 5 coats and its again looking awsome.
