Hi, I currently have a TT but my kids are itching for a MH. They keep complaining that the drive in the truck is not fun , they want to ride in the MH. I am currently looking at the Tiffin Allegro Red QBA. I like the layout and having the bunks will be a nice feature. Any suggetions would be great as this is new territory for me

thanks

Carl

IMHO There is no better way to travel with children than in a motorhome. About 20 years ago our first MH had bunkbeds for our two kids.

Traveling in a MH is much more comfortable than in a pickup truck (or, really, almost any TV). Make sure you have seat belts for the kids and that they use them!

We enjoy our 36' motor home but we have kept our little 21' 1972 Streamline trailer because it's so darn convenient and, really, cheap. Makes a great fishing-trip trailer if it's just me, too.

Still have our tents, too.

Carl,

Having the 35QBA, I also looked at the 38QBA. Both are very nice and if money and size was not a factor I might have chosen the 38.

We do mostly local trips, weekend getaways, and we like State Parks and smaller sites, so for the size and the savings, the 35QBA fits our needs a little better.

Check them both out. We really like the bunks!

BTW - The wife is happier now with the motorhome. She actually enjoys getting up and moving around with our two large dogs.

Having had everything from tents, to tent trailers, to Vanagons, to TT's and Fivers, we feel like we're on vacation as soon as we pull out of the driveway with the MoHo.

Don't know why, but maybe it's the simple set up, or the fact that the DW can take a "real" nap on the road when she doesn't feel well.

My wife has a neuro-muscular disease (myasthaenia Gravis), and we never know what shape she'll be in from day to day, so the MoHo is our only answer.

MH's are the cats! Our RV experience has never been better. Don't know about that particular brand, but traveling with kids and grandkids is SO much better in a MH than with a truck and a travel trailer.

On our very first long MH trip (cross-country to the Grand Canyon) the dramatic difference in the comfort and attitude (of the kids) and the stress (on us) was well worth the time, trouble, and money of our trade-up. Life is short and all about having a heart full of good memories later - make the kids happy now. Happy trails.

Car seat laws apply in MH also. You didn't post the ages and you don't have too. Just info for you.
