At the KOA just outside the Badlands National Park. Looking to move to Mt. Rushmore end of week. KOA there has availability (big rig) but reviews don't sound too hot. Very dusty, etc. Also found Beaver Lake Camp Ground and Big Pine Camp Ground. Any thoughts/recommendations? Need to wash the rig bad too, but not a deal breaker if can't. Appreciate any/all thoughts and comments.

We have stayed here a couple of times and really liked it. The KOA just down the road is awful...

Try to get a site in the "Island" section.

We stayed at Big Pine Campground a few years back. Very nice place to stay. Located in Custer. Not sure if they have a place to wash though.

We stayed at the KOA in Hill City a couple of years ago and I will go there again when we go back. A short shuttle bus ride to MT. Rushmore right from the park. Everything you might need is there also.

I have stayed in Custer (Game Lodge), Rafter J, and this year - Broken Arrow. Rafter J gets high praise from most, I didn't have a great site, very unlevel, and it is very pricey. I loved Custer SP, 50amp E only, but water and dump available. Good bath houses, and laundry - location is terrific. I am looking forward to my first stay at Broken Arrow, in Custer. Good reviews, enjoyed my conversation with the owner - will be there for the week of July 4th. I am not aware of any cg's that allow rig washing.
