I just wanted to let everyone know how wonderful our trip to Lake Raystown resort was this past weekend.

This was our first time to the area, we had several families, with folks in Class Cs, TTs, Pups, Tents, and even a couple of cabins.

EVERYONE had a fantastic time and the facilities were first rate and top notch.

The teenagers loved the waterpark, the lakefront is beautiful. We didn't use the beach because we just swam from our lakefront campsites, but the camper beach looked very nice.

The store was well stocked although the firewood (while "reasonably" priced at $3.60 per bundle)was still to green and difficult to burn.

Our friends ate dinner at their restaurant one night and said it was nice.

We rented a pontoon boat for the day ($500+ gas) after spending most of the day on the lake without any issues, our engine gave out about 3:30 in the afternoon due to some sort of fuel problem. They sent a tow boat out to bring us in, and after verifying we did not run out of gas, they waived the gas and rental fee COMPLETELY! Talk about impressive customer service! Things go wrong, it is how you react to them that sets apart a good organization from a bad one.

There was a storm that blew in and destroyed 2 awnings (mine was one) after a micro-burst blew gusts over 60 mph out of nowhere.

The staff lent me a ladder to assess roof damage (not much thankfully) and even stayed to hold the ladder for me while I worked on putting on some Eternabond patches.

BTW, Eternabond with the cloth back will actually patch a tent in the pouring down rain.

Again, kudos to the entire staff at Lake Raystown resort for making our Memorial Day weekend memorable to us and to our friends and family! We will definitely be back.

Great customer service. Where is this resort? I don't know it just by the name but would like to visit if we are in the area.
Thanks,

Raystown Lake is in central PA... have not been there yet ourselves (altho it is high on our list of places to try)... I have not yet heard a bad thing about it!
It's a very popular place all around.

To the OP - Sorry to hear about some of the mishaps you had - but seems like it was an enjoyable weekend overall! So nice to hear about the great customer service there! That's a huge bonus at any place... thanks for sharing!

I see that the lake front sites have water, elect, cable & wifi...do they have sewer? if we go for more than a few days, sewer is usually a must. Is there a dump station? Thanks

No sewage sites at Raystown, there is a dump station, and they might offer a pump out service at a cost not real sure on that.
