Can anyone advise me on which route I should take. The Needles Hwy from Hwy 40 to Laughlin, NV., or take Hwy 95 from Hwy 40 to Laughlin,NV
And a couple of day's later heading west on hwy 80 headed to Carson city, should I take Hwy 95 south to Hwy 50 west into Carson city or should I continue west on Hwy 80 to 395 south. 3500 Dodge Ram Quad Cab and 40ft Jayco, Pinnacle.
95 on the CA side up to Laughlin is fine.
I'd choose I 80 for your rig.

Not sure I understand your question. If you are going to Carson City from Laughlin, you would not be on I80.Most direct rought is from Laughlin through Las Vegas up 95 to ALT 95 at Schurz then through Yerington and up to US50 West to Carson City.
If for some reason you are on I80 west bound heading to Carson City you would turn South on ALT 95 at Fernley then West on US 50 at Silver Springs to Carson City.

We just came back from there yesterday - we do that drive regularly as we have a vacation home out there.
To get from I-40 in Needles to Laughlin you should take River Road/Needles Highway on the California side of the river. It's about 10-minutes faster than crossing the river in Needles and taking AZ-95 and then crossing back to Laughlin at the North end of the strip.
CA-95 from I-40 to Laughlin is the long way around and will take even longer. And it will also add additional grades to your drive (on NV-163 where you connect from CA-95 to Laughlin).
Don't be confused by the different hwy-95's there. There's AZ-95 that runs along the East side of the river from Needles through Fort Mohave, and up to Bullhead City. There's CA-95 that takes off from I-40 about 12 miles West of Needles in California and runs North toward Nevada and eventually Las Vegas. And there are 2 other 95's that run south from I-40 on either side of Lake Havasu.

+1, but if you have time, I'd take 40 to 58, then 395 to CC.

I'm confused too. You state you're westbound on I-80 going to CC. Starting from where? And how did you plan to get from Laughlin to I-80? One way or the other, you'll be covering a lot of ground. -- Regards,
