I have the power solutions junction box. When running on the generator, the junction box switch is on and the pigtail is plugged into the junction box. When at a camprground, I plug the 30 amp shore cord into the pedestal as usual, and I plug a 20 amp extension cord into the junction box where the pigtail is plugged in normally, and plug the other end of the extension cord into the 20 amp service at the campground.
Also, this setup allows me to run both a/c's at the same time at my house from 2 separate 20 amp circuits. Right now my motorhome is plugged in to 2 separate 20 amp outlets at my house. Both A/Cs working with about 7 amps to spare.

Might be a difference between a 1994 and 2007?
The difference is probably a load sharing center. That device times the start times of the ACs so if one is running it's compressor, the other can't for a time. The compressor, when it starts, can require 3 to 5 times the run current. If you turn on the MW, it will shed a load to allow it, like an AC. This 'Load Shedding' and 'Load Sharing' is what allows you to run both at the same time, and probably turn on the MW as well.
If you listen carefully, you'll not hear both compressors running at the same time.
Also, newer ACs are more efficient and draw less current.

I believe that the company that made that device for RVs went out of business. If you have a current link, I'd be interested in checking that product out. Maybe I heard wrong...but checking google for it didn't get me anywhere.
Google 'JTB Power Solutions'. They are in business! I just installed it yesterday and WOW! To test it, I ran the fireplace, the water heater, the fridge, the parabolic dish heater on high, and the microwave all at one time hooked up to 30 amp and the 20 amp cfgi plug. I was impressed. To top it off, the volts were only at 114 when I started turning things on! Time will tell, but so far so good!
