Only drawback with Camping Transit is that it is near highway 20, so you do get road noise.
How far away is this campsite from the ferry.....walking distance?

This tour bus, is it in operation from spring till fall?
Does this bus go into the old Quebec City and back to the campsite?
Any hours of operation available?

IMHO the ferry is a bargain compared with the cost of commercial sightseeing buses. The fare is ~$3/adult and parking was also relatively cheap. What we found really nice was that it runs regularly all day long so you don't have to fit your sightseeing to its schedule. The ferry puts you right in the hear of the Old City; you can't be more centrally located.

The ferry is not walking distance. Last time we were there (2007), Camping Transit had all day ferry passes for guests for $5 and we parked at the ferry terminal for free. The ferry bring you directly into the Old Town. There are two boats that run back & for all day about every 15 minutes.
In 2007, they did have a tour bus service but I don't see it on their website anymore.

Thanks for the replies.
The reason I asked is, last year we parked at Walmart in Levis for the night and drove in the morning to the ferry, but found it a bit of hassle to park our RV there.
We are going again in a couple of weeks and we rather park at a campsite in the area.
thanks for the link, Eric.
Highway 20 I assume is the Trans Canada Highway?

You'll find Camping Transit really convenient if you have a toad.

I checked the map, it's not that close to the ferry by the looks of it.
I think 7 minutes is a stretch.........But anyways, it's worth looking into if there
is transportation.

My 'guess' there would be since the campground is not far from town. What we found was that most of the transient campers were there to visit Quebec City and we saw two couples hitch a ride to the ferry terminal; don't know how they got back!
We offered to drive anyone but there were no other takers at the time.
