Be aware that on their website routing is :
"From Pasco, Washington, take Highway 12 east. After crossing the Snake River Bridge, take the next left onto State Route 124. Continue east through Burbank, Washington. Turn north on Sun Harbor Drive and follow for 1.5 miles, then take a left on Charbonneau Road. Campground entrance is on the right."
However the new directions should state that "From Pasco, Washngton, take HIghway 12 east, after crossing the Snake River Bridge there is an interchange, take the ramp directing you onto State Route 124. Continue .... " and the rest is correct.
During these days of road constructin it is most difficult to keep up with websites giving directions, bearing that in mind, thought I would post the updates about the interchange taking you to the Corps of Engineers, Charbonneau Campground.

Good post, this also impacts Hood Park & Fishhook Park as well, all COE parks.
Also be advised that the interchange has already claimed one semi flipping, take the exit/interchange at a slow and reasonable speed. Some claims are that the ramp was designed incorrectly, but usually speed is the bigger factor.
No, we are not Hosting, DH is mowing Levey Landing and I am helping out in the Admin Bldg. office personnel.
BTW that was a truck trailer problem with the axle or something ... not speed or driver error ...
The highway overpass/ramp etc. will keep our children safe in their going and coming home from school traffic. That is what is really important. The TriCities has waited a longggg time for this overpass, etc.
Thanks for the accident info the Tri-Cycle Herald didn't go into much detail about it, surprise surprise and has caused a lot of speculation - having a Motorcylce cop dump his bike in the Columbia Drive double round about
I hear a lot about the round-abouts, but nothing about the northbound exit (240W exit) off the Columbia Center Blvd to go to Richland ... it has been awhile since I took that one in icey weather, but that one is the one the designer/engineer should have to drive every day ...
TriCity Herald quote : "The first full day of the Highway 12 revision in Burbank had some drivers in the area questioning the plans after a semi-truck tipped over in the new roundabout at the Highway 124 interchange.
Speed, however, was not a factor in the wreck, Washington State Patrol troopers said. The semi tipped onto its side because of a mechanical problem when something on the trailer broke, troopers said. No one was hurt.
Moe Davari, Washington Department of Transportation project engineer, acknowledged that Thursday morning's wreck wasn't the best news to help ease motorists into the traffic changes.
But, he added, the roundabout was designed specifically to handle semi-truck traffic. Davari said designers knew that trucks would be exiting on Highway 124 to get access to Humorist Road and the orchards along Highway 124.
"It's built for the trucks when they turn to get around there," Davari told the Herald.
