We stayed at Bridge Bay 5 years ago and we had no worries about cooking outside. We had a big family cookout, hot doggies over the fire one night. After we finished eating, we immediately put all the food away and washed up the utensils, trash taken to the dumpster for good measure. At one point a ranger did show up for a look see but since we were actively participating in the cookout at the time he didn't bother us. He did come by an hour later to make sure we had removed all traces of food outside the trailer.

Never had a problem with bears in our site(that we know of) but we had a buffalo visit us in the middle of our night. My sister camping across from us felt a big bump during the night and found long hair on the corner of her camper(I guess he needed a good scratching.) Mr. Buffalo apparently ambled over and left a 5ft wide puddle of pee-pee behind our TT. I don't *think* he was looking for food
