We are planning a trip through the smokey mountains with our 9 and 6 year old. I have looked at a few campgrounds and wondering if anyone has any recommendations. Adventure bound campground and Jelly stone campground. Any opinions? Thanks

Twin Creek is where we went in 2008. Far enough off the main strip that you didn't hear traffic and felt you were away a bit...but close enough to be in town in 5 minutes or less. Trolley stops there too. SUPER campground owners...our kids played with theirs while we all sat and talked. Very nice folks...and they have a pool. I didn't really see a site we didn't like. We stayed on the creek itself. It isn't a super special creek but still is nice.
Yes Jelly stone is great for kids they sure keep the kids busy sites are a little small but ok after all it is for the kids right? People who own it are great people ask how to get places on back roads you will surprise how easy you get around. We take the grand kids there very often ,when they get back to site they crash not a peep all night.
Jellystone for sure. Heading there again in a few days. I think we were there four or five times last year. The boys have been begging to go since we dewinterized.
Here is a pic from one of last year's Haloween weekends.

Jellystone is a great park for the kids BUT....it is about 30 minutes out of Gatlinburg and about 45 out of Pigeon Forge, maybe more if traffic is bad.
We always stay at Pine Mountain RV Park. It doesn't have a playground, but it does have a small creek that runs behind it and 3 pools and a large hot tub.
We have two daughters, almost 8 and 5 and they love Pine Mountain. It is at traffic light #6 in Pigeon Forge, so going into Gatlinburg takes less than 15 minutes and you are away from the outlets and all of that traffic. If you want to go to the outlets, you can go in a back road and be there is less than 10 minutes.
We have stayed at several of the other parks, but we keep going back to Pine Mountain.
We stayed at the Jellystone (Cosby TN) in 2010. very nice place with excellent owners and a nice setting. we got a site on the creek and it was beautiful! very relaxing setting. the whole campground is gravel so no mud, nice pool and kiddie pool. they have a small minigolf course and they do karaoke. I highly recomend this campground. the ride into downtown G-burg is only about 20 min. 30 min. to Pigeonforge. search You Tube for a video from the Cosby Jellystone and check out RV Park Reviews, 99% of the reviews are 9`s and 10`s!
Have fun and take your time in the area. lots to see and do!
