I have a 2008 F250,6.4 EC,4x4 that I haul a 2003 BigFoot 2500 c8.11B (same floor plan as yours) that is built for a short bed and all is working just fine "BUT" I and been having engine problems with the diesel. I plan on getting the 6.2 gas like you have and was wondering if you have written up a review with all the info. about your truck like you did your camper ??
That's a great question. No, I haven't yet. I was waiting for several trips with the camper before I wrote a review.
I can tell you right now that I really like the F250 with the 6.2L engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. I get 12-13 mpg with the camper; without the camper I get 13 mpg city; 17 highway. The engine has a LOT of torque and screams up the big overpasses with the camper with power to spare.

Thanks for responding Mike to my question:
There are a few people that can layout and review with special care and logic the critical factors of a major purchase like a heavy duty pickup. You have that ability that is both well thought out and interesting and would be a benefit to all of us on this forum if you would take the time.
I think that the 2008 model year and newer Diesel powered pickups for our purposes, has been so badly screwed up by the stupidity of the EPA with their emission requirements that they are no longer a reliable option for the purposes that we on this forum need. The high cost to maintain, low mileage and the excessive cost of repairs to a faulty design has soured me on the new diesel option. The heavy duty gas like you have with the 6.2 Ford is more to my liking, (so far) and will be my next purchase if this newer engine by Ford proves reliable. The Chevy with the 6.0 is getting long in the tooth and so is the Dodge 5.7,….Ford is now out in front as of now with the 6.2 gas option. IMHO
Still kicking...just not as high.
2003 Chevy. Duramax,4WD,SB,CC,SB, White with all the bells and whistles.2002 Komfort 26T with pop out.
Two Suzukie KQ 700 for our adventures.

Thanks for the compliments, Stutz. I'll get to work on that review soon.
You are so fortunate to have proximity to those spectacular spots for a long weekend! (but then we're close enough to do the same for the Outer Banks or Shenandoah NP, so I can't complain.)
Your report brought back memories from last summer. What a joy it was to visit those places! We'll return to the Southwest.

Thanks so much for posting.
You're welcome. We are fortunate to have both the Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon within a day's drive.
