This subject loosely gets addressed from time to time.
Ideas for proper "paper plates" and meals, that won't taste like refrigerator frost, from the freezer to the convection/microwave.

IMHO there just ain't no such thing. Meals need to be freshly prepared to taste properly.

Costco has "pretzel sliders" pretzel bread about the size of a hamburger bun. Sliced in two, 2 slices of the meat of your choice, 1 slice of cheese. Refrigerate till needed (in zip lock bags) nuke for 45-60 seconds, till the cheese starts running everywhere. let sit a minute and eat. For those of us that love soft pretzels it rocks!!

I'm a pretty good cook myself, but I'm not above allowing Chef Stouffer to cook for me after a long driving day.

x2 for stouffer's meals.
we like the mini meatloaves, the chicken enchiladas and the chicken with broccoli and pasta casserole. the lasagna is ok, but we don't like lasagna that much.
for fried chicken, I like to buy some KFC or Church's and freeze it for when we want it.
we usually eat frozen meals when we're in route or after a long day of sightseeing. when we have more time in camp, we use the grill and put out the fresh vegies for salads, etc.

Bertolli makes some good frozen pasta meals. Just need a big pan of boiling water. The sauce heats in a bag while the pasta cooks. Add a salad or fresh veggies.
I also make extra when cooking at home during the week or so before we leave and freeze the portions. Usually good for at least a month. I avoid cream based sauces - they don't freeze very well.

Some Amy's are delicious, some are just okay.
Since we are on a special diet, about a month before we are going to head out, when I make something for dinner, I freeze the leftovers and just pop them out when its time to eat.

I'm looking for (haven't really pursued) the divided plates like for TV dinners so I can prepare a few, saran wrap and freeze for those times I need a meal NOW.
The kid is a quickie eater (19), and if hungry he wants to zap something or burn up my pans frying/baking. Can't get him to eat veggies unless I prepare the meal, so thought home made tv dinners to be the solution.

Amazon sells freezer-to-microwave 3 section plates with lids in sets of four. Not cheap ($10 for 4), but reusable. Search on "microwave divided plates".

We also like some Stouffer and Bertolli frozen meals when traveling. After a long day of driving it sure is convenient to just heat and eat and not much to clean up.
PattieAM, We have some of the Corelle divided plates with lids. I know you can still find the plates in the outlet stores but not sure about the lids. I've never been fond of plastic in the microwave but Corelle works great.
