With my 2007 W22, 8.1, Allison 1000 6 Speed that if I put the Power Pack System on I will see a 20MPH increase up 6 percent grades.
Does anyone have first hand experience with a before and after install that can validate this?

You'll see an increase in speed....at the price of increased fuel consumption..but Id never lay $$ on 20 MPH. He's just giving you salesman speak is all.

They are all giving versions of the old "if you believe that, then I've got a bridge to sell you cheap."
It will boost HP, but like Sully2 said, at the cost of MPG and I agree. Also 20 MPH is indeed unrealistic. More like 4-6 at most.

Motorhome magazine did a test on that system a few months back. I don't remember the numbers but it was a nice increase.
There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

i had the banks installed on my 96 rexhall 454 i have not driven it enough to give any actual mileage info etc. I wasn't really expecting a mileage bump. I will say the engine sounds healthy with the headers. It does seem more peppy off the line stop lights etc. It seems to not work as hard on the grades I've driven around the house. If L&I ever lets me get my back fixed maybe I can hit the road and see how much difference the banks system does or doesn't make happy with it so far.

Were EFI. I could care less about milage increase. Im looking for improved HP an Torque up grades. But before I lay out 3k or more installed I would like some first hand FEED BACK from EFI Gas Coach owners who have had this installed.
Has anyone that has replied installed the Banks System on a 8.1? Doesn't sound like it.

3 large ones? For 20 more mph up a grade? It's a 2007. Spend your money on your next moho, which I'm sure will be a diesel. Ain't nothing like torque. You can sit back and still smell the roses goin' up that hill 20 mph faster. And it will probably ride better. Remember you're on a journey, not a mission! My dad used to say, "turn up the radio, you won't here the crash" Good luck

Banks can and will sell you an expensive "bill of goods". It's a nice upgrade, but you will pay dearly for it. With regards to the saleman "Run Forest Run".

Ask him if they will replace the pistons when the crown collapses from the detonation the increased fuel and timing will cause. The hypereutectic pistons used in the 8.1 have a higher silicone content so they can control the expansion of the piston more accurately. Unfortunately this increase in silicone decreases the strength of the piston and these pistons do not like any detonation. Do you think that GM would have left HP on the table? Only if it decreased engine durability.
