Math doesn't work for me:

Pin weight around 1300-1500#
Hitch Weight 200#
Passengers and stuff in truck-- at least 400#

Overload on payload plus will the brakes stop that trailer in a panic stop on a steep grade?

Fords went to a 5.5 foot bed? My 2008 short bed F150 was 6.5 ft

As said, the pin weight will put you over before you even add the hitch.
Of course that's just more free advice.

Get an F150 with 8200 GVWR and still you will be at max so adjust your expectations accordingly.

look here for 8200 gvwr configurations:

The truck will have enough power but the loaded pin weight will probably will at least 1600lbs and that weight will put the truck over it's GVWR and probably it's RAWR.

You really need the F150 with the max payload option (8200lb GVWR) to consider towing a 5th wheel.

2.Irrevelant...I think.
3. Stephen King written all over it.

X2 with correction to #1. Pin weight WILL exceed payload capacity.

This setup can't be spun in any way to make sense, this is too much trailer for any 1/2 ton...period.

Most Screws since at least 2004 have 5.5' beds, including my 2008.

Both the pin weight (including that heavy hitch) and the bed length (too short for turning) will kill you. You would be better off getting a TT for that truck. Keep in mind that you can't have both full towing capacity and full cargo capacity (load, tongue weight, etc.) at the same time.

3/4 ton or less trailer and definitely not a fiver with 5.5 bed.
