I have a 32 ft Coachman class C and will pull a Nissan Frontier manual shift truck. It seems that the steering is NOT locked even when I turn the key to the first position. Can I tow it with the key in this position, or is there a reason for me to turn it one more notch so that it's in "accessory" position, making sure radio, fan, etc., are turned off.

As long as the steering wheel is free to turn, that is all the further that you have to turn the key.

I have a Blue Ox brake box that plugs into the cigarette lighter. It does not get power until it is in the accessory position (2). If you require power you may have to set it in the accessory position.

The steering should not be locked.
Refer to the owners manual for towing instructions.
