Here we are on yet another pilgrimage to Freeport, Maine. Our "Spring" visits to Wolfe's Neck Farm (a historical farm encompassing the sprawling but beautifully designed Recompence Shores Campgrounds, founded in 1958).
Our trek east takes us down Interstate 91, through Newport and St Johnsbury, Vermont; then east into New Hampshire, along Interstate 93, and across villages such as Bethlehem and Woodstock, New Hampshire, and through the middle of White Mountain National Forest (encompassing Mount Washington, at 6300 ft elevation; Mount Jefferson, at 5712 ft elevation; Mount Adams, at 5774 ft elevation; among many others).

Arriving at Recompence Shores (a few miles east of Freeport, Maine), we often walk to the large ranch, situated within a 600+ acre historical setting, where sheep, goats, and belted Galloway cattle (the breed originating from Galloway, in South West Scotland) are raised:
The following day, brilliant sunshine leads the way on our traditional multi-mile trek around the huge Recompence Shores/Wolfe's Neck facility, which includes miles of rocky Maine shoreline along Casco Bay; inland saltwater tidal rivers, and forest wetlands:
Rain settles in now; Maine will be subjected to record-breaking rainfalls over the next 3 days (records going back into the 1800s!), so we head to LL Bean's facilities in town, and to our private archery instruction in the pouring rain, with our instructor Pete (nothing like archery in steady rains to develop your sense of fortitude under adverse conditions):

*perhaps we'll do some skeet shooting next outing?
We then head back to LL Bean, for intensive shopping while a torrential Nor'easter takes hold of Maine for many days to come...we also wanted to have a look at LL Bean's 100 Year Anniversary hand-made cedar canoe (serial number 0.0 of 10, for $7500 ! All sold out but for the 0.0 1st unit in the showroom), and their superb set of Merkel shotguns (a set of 4 Merkel doubles goes for $75,000; however, the entire run of commererative guns {five 4 gun sets} was sold out on offering, save a couple behind glass in the LL Bean display museum)...

Cool, Silversand! Never been to upper New England before. Looks beautiful and looks like you're having a great time. As always, thanks for sharing and have a safe return.

You're right! I've corrected the photo caption, and added the Highway 302 re-caption. Thanks for spotting this! I've got photos of every road we took (roughly 11~13 roads/highways). It gets confusing to ID them all.
