I have a question I have 3 windows on my coachman capri travel trailer that are leaking and i want to reseal them. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do. Do i take it out or seal around it and what kind if sealant do i use
To properly re-seal windows, simply remove them, remove their factory rubber seal (that UV destorys within a few short years), add butyl tape on the inside of the window's lip and re-install the window. Do 2-3 windows every weekend and with a few short months, all windows are re-sealed. For a good video, surf: - click here -
If wondering, at 4 year old date I re-sealed 11 windows on my 29ft TT. Of its 11 windows, 3 of them were leaking. And unknowingly, 1 x window was leaking really bad. Removing each windows is the best way to seal them...
