Hello everyone,
I had the cooling unit go out on my Dometic RM2652. I replaced the fridge with a compressor-based residential model. I don't want to just chuck the thing. I called two of the businesses that refurbish cooling units, thinking they might want to buy the cooling unit- no dice. Surely someone out there has need of something from this good-except-for-one-darn-pinhole fridge. Circuit boards? Doors? Shelves?
Suggestions? Know a business that might want it for salvage? Anybody need or want some of these parts? I thought about just listing its parts on ebay, but it is currently sitting in my TT stinking things up like ammonia and I don't want it to stay there for long.
I would remove the electronic parts. You may have a camping friend that will need a part in the future. I have also noted requests on the internet for door shelves from time to time.
put it out front for free somebody will pick it up.. that is how i got refer for my truck camper...$500 is alot cheaper than $1,200 so new cooling unit in old throw away was cost effective for me
