Take it down and lay it on the bed, screen down.

After much futile searching I finally built my own. A triangular piece of 2x12, a square block drilled to match the TV mounting points, secured to the original slide out TV tray. Has worked well for quite a few years.

Hi All.

We replaced both of our old CRT TVs with nice thin LED TV's. I just used Battery Strap Kits on both TV's.

Both of our LED TV's are on "Articulating Arms". So we can adjust the view to any angle, or Degree we want them to be at. Thats the Beauty of using "Articulating Arms".

The Battery Strap Kit comes with two Brackets also. Mount the Brackets, and just thread the Straps though them. They keep the TV's perfectly tight against what ever is behind your TV's.

I think I paid like $1 each for the two Battery Strap Kits with Brackets at ACE Hardware, on the table with Discounted items that sell very cheaply.

They work perfectly and hold the TV's from any movement what so ever. Cheap, easy to take on and off.

Most LED TV's if you look at the picture form much of an angle, you get to see a distorted picture or very fuzzy looking. Using Articulating Arms, I can adjust the Tilt and Angle to suit watching the TV's any where we chose to sit in our Motorhome. No more kinks in the neck or bad views.

Good Luck. Happy Travels. Dan & Jill

Two screws through the base and a strap around it during travel is probably all you need

Since I built mine into the original tv cabinet, like Ryanallie I used an articulating arm. When we travel I use a cut down spring loaded shower rod that I covered with a piece of foam pipe insulation. Pop it into the cabinet corner to corner and the tv stays put. Takes 2 seconds to install or remove.

That's how we've been doing it on boats for years. Simple and effective.

I mounted a 27 inch unit on a very secure swing arm. The TV fits into the slot for the larger removed unit, and I made two "gate" arms that drop to horizontal to hold the TV in place, and swing up to vertical to allow me to pull the TV out and use it on it's swing arm. The weight of the arm holds it in the horizontal position by gravity on the longer leg.

Our LED sits just outside the opening of where the original LCD sat. So we use bungee cords hooked up to new arm to prevent bounce.

I have my 32" mounted with 2 bolts through the base and shelf, a short angle bolted to the back mounting holes and a metal strap from there to the back shelf.

I used this method in my 31' TT for about 4 yrs and now have it in my 5er. It works for me.
