Probably a motor home?
If it all works and runs good I would discount some pimply faced clown telling you that. If you are concerned, take it to a chassis dealer (Ford probably) and have them go over it for you.

A good friend of mine still uses his 1976 Winnebago Class C Minnie Winnie and has a ball with it. Spend a few dollars at a reputable service facility and have someone check it out. If its OK....use it and have fun.

Is this a unit you've camped in already? Or a "new-to-you" one?
If you've used it before but not lately and are trying to get back into camping, yes get the unit a thorough checkup by a pro. While you are at it, be sure that your "old" bodies can safely get in and out of the unit. Add assist handles? Non-slip cover on the steps? We don't heal up as quickly when we are older. Don't ask me how I know this.
If it is "new to you" learn slowly how to use it. Start out in Camp Driveway with assistance nearby.
As long as everything works, nothing leaks, etc. you should be fine. Just don't plan on going to any of those resorts that require your unit to be less than 10 years old.

He has a 1983 holiday rambler 33ft and they've been RVing since 1972, and they are in their mid 70's! I'd say keep it going my friends and enjoy!
If it gives you peace of mind, as said above, get the RV evaluated by a reputable shop and keep on trucking!
Best of luck, folks like you inspire me at the lofty age of 57 to keep on thinking young and help me keep in mind we've got many more years to enjoy camp'n! Thanks....

When my grandpa was 92 and his car was come 30 years old the ins. co. told him to get a newer car. Not till he was 92. If you can still go then go.

Who is "telling" you all these things? You're over in the Technology Corner with a similar story about your satellite receiver...
I suggest you stop listening to that person.

We have a 1982 Triple E Motorhome and have used it going on nine years with very few issues. I'm not as old as you but some days I feel like I'm a 100 We use ours quite a bit and when we bought it we had it checked over really good and yes it cost us a bit at the time. Make sure you have good roadside coverage and go have fun. In nine years we have put on around 70,000 miles. I have been looking at a 76 GMC and may buy it, always liked the styling and the ride is fantastic, needs some work on the interior but the engine and drive train are good, will see if I can get it in the right price range as right now he is to high.
