I am not trying to be cheap by anymeans and will probably end up just buying on of these but as many homemade things people have come up with I was curious if anyone has made their own sewer tote? I guess you could say that I just like to make my own stuff alot of the time.

Some of the funniest video I have ever seen was of a homemade waste tank on wheels called the Tote-a-turd made from a 55 gal barrel. Go ahead and make it, we'll watch.

Haven't made my own, but a 5gal bucket from Lowes or Home Depot could work. Just remember to get the lids.

Just DO NOT use your wife's best tupperware.

Please do not ask me how I learned that this is a bad idea.

I made a gray water hauler from a surplus 30 gallon plastic barrel. It sets in the back of the tv on an inverted cut-down shipping pallet. I use a 12v marine pump, some old garden hose, and a 3" to garden hose sewer cap to handle the water transfer. Dumping is via gravity.

Black water isn't an issue. DW & I can go a week on the black tank.

well to me I guess there wouldnt be much of a differnce than that of a fuel tank on wheels made out of aluminum or steel with the obvious 3" sewer valve that would resemble the pvc plastic ones already produced. I can weld a box together alot chaeper than buying the mass produced totes. I didn't intend for this to be funny, I am acually curious if it can be done.

you may be able to weld one together but the weight would be a lot more I would think. I see the cheapest way would be a 30 gallon plastic barrel modified somehow. Either way be sure to put big tires on it for all kinds of terrain to make it easier to maneuver.

The 30gal barrel is a good idea but to big of a profile. I am thinking something alittle more streamlined. I agree with the weight so some kind of carry rack would need to be assymbled under the belly of the trailer. This is just all ideas running in my head
