All good advise, of coarse to me dry camp means 0 facilities. We will be in the back country of CO. I beleive I will pick up a 2nd battery.

When we dry camp it means, if you want it you have to bring it because there isn't anything there but bush, animals and the outside. I have 60 watts of solar panel to keep the batteries charged. I have 2 batteries. I have a 4000 watts genny. I also have 60 gallons of fresh water on board with a 50 gallon water tank in the bed of the truck. I also have a 45 gallon fold up water container I can use. I can either gravity feed the water into the trailer or charge the hard tank in the truck with the air compressor to fill the trailer tank. We've dry camped for two weeks but I also know where I can go to get fresh water when needed. We have navy showers and use lots of water to prevent the "PILE". Now we've been doing this type of camping for 34 years, so we have learned what we need to stay out for as long as we want. If we were strictly Dry camping then I would say we could probably stay out for at least 5 days or so before the batteries would be drained down. It depends on weather. If cold then maybe not that long. It's something you will have to find out for yourself and it depends on a how much water and electricity you want to use for your comfort. Have fun and enjoy.

We dry camp up to about 5 days. Usually that is as long as we want to stay in one place. We have 2 6 volts and do have a generator. We use and inverter for TV and other items not normally on battery power. With 70 gallons of fresh water we have no problem with fresh water, we just are smart on washing dishes and showers. Many times we go from dry camp to dry camp and just find some place to fill up with water and dump if we have to. If you enjoy quiet and true camping you can't beat dry camping. Good Luck
