Made reservations for the weekend of July 20-22. We will be at Ocean Lakes the 5 days before that. Anyone else going to be at the Wilmington KOA at the same time?
Any recommendations of things to see and do or places to eat?

Do NOT miss driving down to Carolina Beach, and getting a couple dozen of Britt donuts. They are that good.
While you are there. Ride on down to Fort Fisher(The Last Strong Hold Of the Confederacy) as well, and the NC Aquarium. you can also ride the ferry over to South Port, and see the Ortan Plantation. And of course, Don't forget the Battleship USS North Carolina
, and the Cotton Exchange, or the RR Museum.
May want to think about spending more time in the Wilmington area.
It is super historic, and every NC student should spend time there.
It is a little pricey but one of the best places I have ever eaten is Elijah's right on the waterfront in Wilmington. Sometimes you can eat out side right on the river.

Travel to Wrightsville Beach and go to the south end and eat at the Oceanic Resturant. Sits on a pier over the ocean. You can also go into Wilmington to a resturant called Henry's.

I also recommend the battleship. Get there early to avoid the mid-day heat as much as possible.
There is a great little sea food restaurant called Fish Bites in a strip plaza at 6132-11 Carolina Beach Road.
They have a pretty good trolley/tour ride that takes you thru the town and points out most interesting sites that you can then go back to.
