How many people have you heard of that died in their RV due to lightning striking the RV?

I would be more concerned about falling tree branches. Stay away from the tented ends during severe storms.

You're far more likely to have problems due to falling trees, branches, or other wind events than from lightning.

There are reasons to get out (bathhouses are usually a good place, at least in public campgrounds that have them), but lightning is not at the top of the list.
