The systems monitor, built in stereo and stove exhaust fan only works when a 12 volt battery is present.

Is this normal?

Do any other 12-volt items work, or is the entire system acting this way?

Why? one may ask....,

When most (if not all) RV systems with a "Converter/Charger" provide DC to "Rigg" or TT or MH when plugged into AC supply.

Why are those components (monitor, Stereo, Stove exhust fan) wired differently?

I'm confused..... I thought my question would be addressed.

My question was not intended to be "smart a#@ed"....

Yes, in some RV's a few items are wired directly to the battery, usually with inline fuses. If the battery is removed, they get no power from the converter/charger. Also, some older converters do not operate properly without the battery in place.
