I'm testing it this weekend..we have had maybe 6-8" of HARD rain since Saturday and it's still raining very hard and steady....a total washout for camping...
My vent cover allows water splashing on the roof to enter the rear of the cover and eventually the rain sensor closes the lid...I know I can disable the sensor....but there will be small water droplets entering the coach....IMHO the cover should have been designed a little better to prevent this.....of course we are NOT talking about a drizzle....this was record setting rainfall......and it's not even a storm or hurricane

HI Larry

I was wondering if there new cover was anything better than the MAXAIR covers. Fantastic claims 70% more air flow and makes no mention of rain coming in.

Question for you
How does the cover mount?
Hate to put more screw holes in the roof after the 12 or 16 for the vent fans

I had the MaxAir vents do the same thing one time while traveling in a storm. Except my vents didn't close themselves and I ended up with stains around the vents.

I am using 2 of the new covers over the fantastic fans. Have had them on for about 8 months. Have been driving and sitting in major rain storms and have had no problems to this point. Macktee

6-8" of rain and still coming down and you complain because the system worked.....95% of the time it DOES keep the rain out - I'm not sure there's ANYTHING that could keep 100% of the rain out!

We are sitting it out half way between Mobile and Pensacola. Don't have covers on the Fantastic Fan vents. Only open partially when needed like when cooking etc. Did have a problem with the air conditioner dripping water due to high humidity so being able to keep the vents open might have helped. We left Oregon to get out of the rain, gotta find somewhere dry. This is getting old fast.
