I don't understand what water in the freshwater tank has to due with the water pump not turning off. He said he has tried turning the pump off with the switches and it won't turn off. He can only turn the pump off by unplugging power at the pump. To me that's saying the pump controller is bad, or there is a short on one of the switch wires between the switch and the controller. He needs to find the controller and first try unplugging the connector for the switches, if it still runs the controller is bad.

Well after checking the valve going to the fresh water tank is set for city water. There are no leaks around the motor home. Pump run unless I unplug it at the pump. I belive that there is a short somewhere or the presssure switch on the pump is bad.

I think if I set my valve for city water, my pump runs non-stop also.
Have you tried changing the valve position?

And do you have multiple switches for the pump? I have 4, that I know of. One on my main panel behind navigator's seat, one in the 1/2 bath, one beside the bedroom sink, and the last one is in the wetbay.

Are they all off? Mine are push on/push off.

Only two things let your pump run continuously...a worn out pressure valve or a leak in the system. Test your system for leaks usually with air. If it checks ok, replace the pump.....Dennis

or the water tank valve is in the 'fill tank' position! (05 Bounder)

After checking everything and testing I found two wires were crossed at one of the switches under the kitchen sink. The faucet had been changed out for a new one just before we purchased it. We have not had anymore problems with this pump. Thanks to everyone for the help and suggestions.
