After almost a month we finally had a chance to stay in our brand new 2013 32BHDS this past weekend. As we are "green" and this is our first TT, we took our time to try to get to know how everything worked, etc. First thing on my list was installing 2 Maxxair vents which was quite easy other than the wind and non stop rain.
I did find a couple issues:
1. The sound system. When on "A", both the inside and outside speakers work, when on "B" nothing works and when on "C" just the outside speakers work. I guess I will pull the receiver out as there must be something hooked up wrong. Second question...are the speakers on the television supposed to work? The reason I ask this is because they do not, which seems far from ideal since when the television is rotated into the bedroom (and the doors have to be closed) the speakers in the main living area will have to be on.
2. Outside kitchen door latch. It rained all weekend and when I went to show the parents the outside kitchen, water ran out of the front door latch (from the inside) when I opened it up. I read somewhere that this seems to be a common issue...is there a common fix for this?
We will be staying in it again this weekend. I have to say that overall I have been super impressed...it does not feel like you are in a camper at all. It's nicer (and almost as big) as my first apartment lol!

My speakers are A-livng, B-bedroom, C-outside, it does seem like yours are wired wrong. You may be able to set the speaker controls in the TV setup menu so the speakers are always on. Don't know about your water problem. If it's just the latch it would seem like not much water would accumulate.
Brand-spanking-new? If your dealer is nearby, I'd be giving him a call on both issues and not mess with either myself. If you try a repair and then take it to them, warranty validity could be an issue.

Sounds like the speakers are wired wrong. It will probably look like a rats nest of wiring back there but shouldn't be to hard to figure out. The wires will probably be labeled as to what speakers they go to and you should have the pamphlet that came with the receiver.
Mine was hooked up wrong too. If you look at the book that came with your tv as well, you should see what your options are as far as how the tv can be hooked up to the receiver. The tv should have it's own remote, with it's own volume control.
1. Yes, A should be living room, B should be bedroom(s) and C is outside. I always confuse these and turn on my outside one's and make the other campers unhappy. Check your wiring behind the radio and see what you can find. Plus while you are back there clean up all the mess from the factory left. Also there are so many plugs back there you might need the manual for that. TV speakers should be on at the same time but you will have to look at your TV settings to turn them back on if they are off.
2. Yes, the outside kitchen door leaks a little. Some how water gets in the door and there are holes drilled in the bottom of the door to let it out. I haven't been able to find out where the water is coming from and am still looking. Also becareful with the latches on your door because they can miss the lip and cut into your seal and become more of a pain.
We also found out that our exaust fan in the bathroom quit this year and it's not even a year old.

Thanks for the info and help. Yes, it is a brand new trailer. I would rather not have to tow it all the way back to the dealer just for the speaker wiring (if I can figure out my home theatre in my house, I am sure I can figure out a simple TT wiring system). I did call my dealership and they gave me the go ahead to try and fix the wiring myself. See how it goes, I guess. Worse comes to worse, they fix it in the fall when it comes back from my seasonal site.
I agree on speakers wired wrong. However, depending on the hookup to the tv, you may or may not get audio through the speakers. Only HDMI and coax carry video and audio in one connection. A "composite" or yellow line requires red and white audio lines in addition to the video line. My Puma has only composite out of the stereo/dvd for dvd video, the audio only comes through the stereo. However, the coax for satellite or cable goes straight to the tv and audio only comes from the tv speakers. Just for giggles, composite means R+B+G in one line, not video+audio, lol.
