I am another RC plane/helicopter flyer and buy a lot of stuff from Hobby King out of Hong Kong. Never a problem.

Bought all the led light panels for my TT from China through Ebay. 3 different orders and no problems, I pay with Paypal. Honestly even when buying from US sellers most of the merchandise comes from China anyways. Takes 2 weeks but so what.

We buy items from China in two ways, either in bulk in quantity to where it fills at least a small 20' container or items that can be shipped by air freight.

A great place to buy items is at the national hardware show. The Chinese companies bring all kinds of items from generators to power washers and hoists and usually they do not want to pay the cost for shipping them back to China after the show is over. Go the the show on the last day with a strong hand truck or 4-wheel cart and you can find great deals - do need to move fast though.

I have used dealextreme.com

If using PayPal, always change you payment preference to your CC; the CC companies will refund if you have a problem/dispute as it is considered an online purchase...

If they don't use PayPal I don't buy from them. And, sorta like exeter said, I don't buy anything expensive enough that it needs a warranty.

I have ordered several items on E-Bay from China including a back-up camera and monitor. The sellers were very responsive and really want to please, so you will come back for more.

I was going to say, in jest, when I want to buy something from China I just visit my local Wal-Mart.
