As of now, NASCAR is showing Kurt Busch as the driver of the #51 for the next Cup race. What gives?

Statement From Phoenix Racing regarding Kurt Busch and the #51 Chevy: Below is a statement from James Finch, owner of Phoenix Racing, regarding Kurt Busch and the #51 Phoenix Racing Chevrolet. "We have met with Kurt. At the end of the day, we are racers so we're going racing together with Kurt and the #51 Phoenix Racing Chevrolet. We know adjustments have to be made but how we fix that is between Kurt and myself. We're going to go to the track, work hard, race hard and work on trying to attract a sponsor and we're going to do that together."(Phoenix Racing)(6-12-

I was glad to see Kurt Busch keeping his ride and that the owner is not so fast to dump him. It is the reporters who are shoving microphones in the drivers faces right after an accident or mishap on the track. I am sure they(reporters) would not be happy to have someone shove a mike in their face if something happened to them. A good example was last Sunday at Poccono. Joey Lagano won and one of the remarkes a reporter made in winners circle was, Joey being worried about losing his ride and was he ready for Sprint cup series, the reportr did add that this win should allivate Joey's worries. I think that if a driver no matter who he is has a mishap of any kind that the reporters should give them a 30 minute cool down period and let the drivers go to their haulers before interviewing them.

I agree..... I've felt the same way for a long time..... but an emotionally charged interview is better for ratings.

I can't stomach the Bush brother's but your point is right on the money. Heck, some of those reporter's try to stir the pot so much that I want to ring there bell...

I'm a fan of both Busch brothers.
The biggest problem that Kurt has, right now, is that his team does not have the resources to purchase engines which produce the level of power that it takes to win races. And, he ends up constantly pushing himself trying to make up the difference. Even when he was with Penske they were always competing against superior engines.
I hope that his friend, Tony Stewart, lends them a good engine, or two.
In any case, he puts on a show, and that's what I really like.
His anger-management problem is simple (for me). He will eliminate himself from competition, or he won't.

Kurt is not the first to have a problem talking to reporters, and he will not be the last to be caught angry and say the wrong thing.
However, for Kurt's own good he needs to get control of himself. It is time...now. The reporters would love to catch him again and they will try so they can "get the scoop".
I like racers that race with determination and emotion, interviews should be left to the politians.
Dale Jr. will win a race this year! And, Kyle will get squared away too

Hopefully he will get one under his belt but if they stay as consistant as they have been they might pull a Kenseth and take the cup without a win. As far as little Kyle goes, nah.

You know other major sports, and calling FRANCECAR major is a stretch of the imagination, has a cool down chamber and media interview room when the event is over. If the participants want to attend OK, if not see you next week. Very few sideline reporters add any value to a broadcast. And this especially true of pit road reporters on races. They ask silly or stupd questions because they want to be a part of the FRANCECAR house organ. Trouble with FRANCECAR is they have prostituted themselves to corporate America and they are the ones pulling the operational strings. I'd like to see one of those reporters push a mic in front of Robin Pemburton or Mike(would you buy a used car from this guy)Helton when the heat is on. Won't happen as those folks are in there own climate controlled, coded entrance think tank.
