I was looking after my grandson (3) on the weekend, and left him for a couple of minutes while I was talking to the neighbor in the park, when I went back in he had put many marks on both driver and passenger seats. My question is do you know how to get the ink off. I have tried everything in my arsenal, with no luck. Help please. Macktee

Try plain old rubbing 'isopropyl' alcohol with a white cotton towel. Use a white towel so as not to transfer dyes from the towel to the leather. Good luck

I would try hairspray - probably somewhat close in ingredients to the alcohol. Last resort, I'd try a Mr. Clean Eraser. Then after the eraser, treat the leather with a leather cleaner. Maybe a leather cleaner would work. Our granddaughter did the same on ultra leather recliners and it came out with the hairspray and a light touch of the eraser.

We got a few ink marks on our dashboard. We used Simple Green and it worked really well. Our dash is vinyl so I'm not sure if it would work on leather (if your seats are leather). I noticed when I cleaned it with Simple Green, that the marks were still there a little bit but by the next morning, they were gone.

And I have actually used this method twice on two different occasions on the dashboard.

Many years ago I was an office machine repairman. I always used to carry along a bottle of lemon extract to get it off of the office equipment. It removed ball point pen ink better than anything else we tried.

Maybe try some hairspray or lemon extract?
