The nut below the handle is the adjustment on friction bars the handle should be tightned until the threads bottom out and the handle should be parallel to the bar. For a trailer the size of your Roo one sway bar should be plenty. On trailers over 25ft. two bars are recommended. Believe me on my 27 footer that second bar made a world of difference. If the unit is installed properly you don't have to take it off to backup either. I believe that a friction unit set right is just as good as the more expensive ones, with the exception of the Reese most of the more popular units rely on friction in one way or another.

I tighten hand tight and never in 45 or 50 years I have never removed to back up,tight turns, wet weather etc. I only use one sway bar to tow my 34 ft TT. I see no need for two as I have never had sway with this TT. I tow thousands of miles a year and see no need for the higher priced units. I have a Hensley
sitting in my garage. Do not care for it
My Roo 23ss tongue weight can exceed 700 pounds and I use an Equalizer WDH to handle this. Sway control is built in. No need to fool with friction sway bars or worry about rain/backing.

X2, i have had the friction control and went with the Equalizer WDH 4 years ago and it was the best move i've ever made by far. Would never go back.
Thanks for all the replies. The general consensus seems to bottom out the threads, leaving the handle parrallel with the frame. The actual adjusting NUT I will adjust if needed. Thanks.
