Yep, RV's/Boats go up in flames like a box of matches. Unless the Fire Department is right next door, chances are a couple more, on either side, are going to become involved too.

Looks like maybe it is more of a mobile home park?

Yes, with the large propane tanks and permanent dish antenna it must be a mobile home park.

It's not a mobile home park.

It is a seasonal marina and RV park.

There are dozens of these parks on the Fox River Chain o' Lakes.

"The marina and RV park consists mostly of vacationers in the Chain O'Lakes region but does have some permanent residents,"

The chain offers numerous parks filled with vacationers and people from the city that put their RV's and boats there and come up every weekend. Of all the places I have traveled the most fun I have ever had was when I lived near there and partied with my city RV friends every weekend and take the boats out on the chain. These people really know how to have fun in a CG!
Very sad to see these people lose their RV's and boats.

I know the area well. it is a seasonal type campground, no overnite sites. the area is all about boating! about 2/3`s of the trailers are TT`s the other 1/3 are park models. we used to have our boat up there, but not at the campground in question. the fire dept. is right up the road.

Thanks. I knew that did not look like a typical RV park set up in the photo. They have a lot of these kinds of places on KY Lake locally. After a tornado several years ago a local dealer did well preplacing many old RV's that had not been moved in years with park models.

The Grass Lake Marina is right across the lake from Chain o' Lakes State Park and halfway between them is the notorious Blarney's Island.
