Family wants to visit Detroit this summer; Ford Museum, etc but I can't find an rv park near the city. Any advice from you up north? We don't toad so we'll need a way to reach the sites.

Iw ould suggest either Harbortown RV Resort in Monroe, MI (exit #11 off I-75) or Sterling State Park in Monroe, MI (exit #15 off I-75)...

From either of these it is a short trip (10-15 miles) up I-75 to The Henry Ford or any other attraction that you would like to visit in or near Detroit...while visiting The Henry Ford I would suggest getting the combined pass for The Henry Ford and Greenfield Village...other things to see is the Ambassador Bridge (to Canada), ride the People Mover in Detroit...Cabela's in Dundee, MI...maybe take in a Tigers baseball game...

New Hudson, Mi is more like a 30-45 minutes drive to The Henry Ford and is actually located about 20 miles NW of the City of Detroit...

Needless to say there is no CG close to the City of Detroit...Wayne County Fairgrounds is W/E only and Detroit Greenfield is nice with W/E/S but watch the trees in the place as some of the spots are tight...

We stayed at Haas Lake Park in New Hudson MI. 20 minute drive to Ford Museum. Be sure to take the factory tour.

Closest RV park to Detroit is Wayne County fair Grounds. Not a fancy place. But OK for a short time.
Next closest would be Detroit Greenfield.
Then Harbor Town. It is close to 40 miles from The Henry Ford.

Rent a car and choose any of the parks suggested. Carry Enterprises Car Rentals phone number with you. They will come and pick you up for the rental.

Blessings,

I live close to Haas Lake. OK park. Still 35 miles to The Henry Ford. Merv's is a good bakery. They also sell good meats.
Camp Dearborn is another good place. If OP does not have a dog.
