I need new tires for all wheels on my Pace Arrow. It takes
LT 235/85R16. What brand tire is best? Where to shop? What brand do I want to avoid?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Will Walker

Avoid paying for a name and any brand that isn't cost competitive and might want to look at Hankook for reputation and price.

Costco would be a good choice for that size tire. Michelin is a good tire in that size. If the local Costco does not install, ask what stores in the area do. Installing tires on MH is at the discretion of the tire shop manager so some stores install and some don't.

I went to Hankook a year ago last December, and can't tell the difference between the Hankooks and the Michelins.

Same smooth ride, at a lower cost.

Bridgestone, Firestone, Cooper, Hercules, Hankook, BF Goodrich, Goodyear, Toyo and even Michelin. All have tires that perform well in that size. As to where to shop, virtually any tire shop in your area, check where you normally buy your tires, even mail order. Tire Rack has them at competitive prices.

I found righttire.com to be very competitive. Their pricing includes shipping, installation and balancing at a tire shop of your selection from their list in your area. Might want to check it out.

I would use THESE on the rear. I would run a rib tire in front...I like Goodyear's venerable Workhorse, though the new Nankang Geo-Trac is tempting.

Yes, he's sure, as they were the norm on a lot of the older ford chassis. My question would be to possibly replacing them with a 19.5 size.
