Well, I'm sure one tastes better, but the other would be more filling and faster...

I just got back today from a two day trip.
We dumped befor we left the state park and I have the Dominator sewer hose kit.
Its the 1st time I have used it and the dump station pipe had no threads.
I just pushed it in there and I found a bad of stones laying by the dump station and set them on top and all was good no mess or blow out.
I need to keep a small bag in the RV from now on never know when we could use them.

99% of the time I use the screw in connector. I found one camp ground where it won't work. United Campground in Durango Co, you have to buy a donut from them. Their pipe is too small for a Wally World donut, they have their's special made.

We were in a park in Mitchell,S.D. that required one. No if or buts. We were at a resort type park in Ottawa Beach Mi. last week and used my Rhino hose, screwed in of course and the threaded adapter came off the pipe. Bad glue job I guess. What a mess. It all can happen at any time. JME.

Sounds to me like even a donut would not have helped. It was "their" pipe that came apart right? Probably wasn't even glued, just force fit.

I wonder what they do if you leave the hose stored when not in use. Do they come around and ask to see that you own a donut for when you finally decide to hook up and dump?

Well, I'm back from my camping trip and I had to say that I did NOT need to use the donut. I did have one just in case and at one campground, the sewage SMELLED so bad, even though we used the screw in method.
Another note, if this gets picked up again, how do you store the sewer hose? I'll do a search and see what people have posted before, but I'm just curious. Thanks!

I just hook the ends of the hose together and stick in all in a tote.

Same with me... The Rhino Flex hose kit comes with caps for each end. I use those for the 15' hose. My 5' extension...I just hook the two ends together. I use a plastic tote bin for those. I still keep a backup slinky inside my rear bumper tube.
They do make add-on hose carriers for your camper... both internal and external. And I've seen one persone that made a custom carrier that hinges under the camper. Looked pretty cool!
Yeah...even with a screw-on connection...that stuff had to vent somewhere. At Ft. Wilderness...the dump pipe is mounted in a stainless steel sink basin cast into the ground. The drain in the basin is connected to the sewer pipe. So, when you dump...the fumes comes out of the drain in the basin. You just have to thank you lucky stars that you have a thread in connection...so you don't have to stand there and hold the end
I just walk away and catch a breath of fresh air...
