Just wondering if anyone could share with me how you manage to boondock in your 5th wheel in a place like Walmart, truck stop, etc. We can only access our bathroom with all the slides in. All advice given on forum says not to put you slides out, so maybe fiver's don't stop at these places. Thanks for your help and advice.

We park so that our slides will be over one of the landscaped islands or to the outside of the perimeter. We park there with our slides out without a problem.

Usability with the slides in was a priority for us when deciding. That said I have seen others occupy two parking slots at both Flying J and rest stops with either 1 side or both sides having the slides out. Thought it was inconsiderate and wondered if any tired and/or irritated long haul drivers ever dealt with it in their own way.
I think the prior post of parking where your slide(s) do not infringe on any usable space is good advice.

When all my slides are in I still have full use of my bed, toilet, sink and frig. Don't need much more than that for boondocking. And if I'm on the road for several days, I can also take a shower.

Concur, the only consequence we have is a narrower walkway between kitchen and fiver bedroom.

We only use Walmarts if we need to or will be shopping there and plan to stay from evening to early morning. We ask permission if there is no other RVs in the parking lot. They also tell us where to park. When we park we put out all slides and stabilize the RV. We don't put any chairs, mats or other outside accessories out. Some locations have a few RVs and others end up with over 50 by the end of the night.

Putting the slides that are needed out has never been a problem what people are referring to is the types that put out the awnings chairs and set up camp in the lot! nobody will say anything about putting a slide or two out. Your not setting up camp, you are just supposed to be Sleeping and Move on.
My post's are my opinion The advice, comments etc are free and worth what you paid

That might be acceptable in an area that is not crowded. On the other hand those requiring their slides to be extended, especially at rest or fuel stops that become full as the night progresses should, in my opinion, make every effort to use up only a single parking slot.
