So I want to pull a 17' Roadrunner TT and jet ski trailer behind that with 1/2 ton Chevy. Truck hitch is rated for 10,000 lbs. TT weighs 2500, ski trailer weighs about 2000. Any advice? Is this stupid to even try?

I have towed for over 30 years and the idea of triples scares me!
That said, check your state's regs...while many allow a trailer behind a fifth wheel, few allow it behind a bumper-pull. If allowed, the next step would be getting a machine shop to go under your TT and build a receiver system by beefing up your frame. Then you would have to fabricate a wiring system to get lights and brake power back to the jet ski's trailer.
Not for me, but good luck if you try it!

Not triples! Triples is 3 trailers. It's doubles.
If where you are and where you are going and where you are going through allow it. Go for it.
The 1/2 ton, I would reconsider, HIGHLY!
YMMV

The term "triple towing" refers to a tow vehicle and two trailers behind it.
It looks like CO allows it as long as your combined length is less than 70'. They also don't require trailer brakes on trailers less than 3000#, so it's possible neither of your trailers have brakes.

I have known several friends who tow doubles without issues but to be honest they are doing it with a real truck that is capable of dealing with the dynamics involved...

I pull triples with a 2010 Waverunner (see profile pic w/ the trailer unhitched) about 64 feet total all the time using a diesel, with no problems.

I'm planning on double/triple towing this summer too. Our province allows it and I'll be significantly under the allowed maximum. I have a F350 pulling a 23ft TT weighing 6000# and a 16ft boat trailer around 700#. The TV has a WD system along with dual friction type sway control. Have installed a rear view camera so as to keep an eye on stuff. In your situation the truck seems to be the limiting factor.

Pwc's are light and your trailer is only 17' too. Your 1/2 ton should handle it. If its legal, go for it. You'll need to have the tt frame reinforced.

I have been thinking about this for sometime now. The only thing holding me back is price. About $300 for a hitch to be fabricated and another $300 for a good wireless camera to watch whats going on. I would hate to not have a camera and the waverunner trailer have a blow out.
