The plastic fence post would be right at home next to my slinky fence post - also . . .
the security conscious would love it - add a short hunk of unused sewer hose - and it's just another sewer hose in the post!.
Another alternative is a Telescoping Extension Ladder ($110. Amazon).
When collapsed, the 12 footer easily fits (upright) in a storage compt.
