I just punished myself for 6-8 HOURS to take this online course to save about $200 for 3 years with a rate deduction....boy...it was sooooooooo boring and elementary.....and the worst part is you cannot jump ahead....every single page has to play completely before you can advance to the next one.....
I finally finished last night....took about 4 nights of scrolling the pages while watching TV !!!
Ended up with a 100 on the final but not sure I'd do it again for only $200 savings.....tho now I feel SMART !!

Hubby and I did something like that to save on our GEICO insurance a couple years ago, the thanks we got.....they increased our rates even though we'd not had an accident or ticket of any kind, we dropped them after 40+years and went to another company, really made us mad.....so hope your hard work pays off for you.

We did AAA and found out the max is UP TO $200 off and then only on some part of total insurance bill. Our class was in person and had a mix of people "I went to traffic school, now lower my ticket I have to pay" and people like us, just trying to learn something and get a discount. The young ones haven't learned yet that the faster you go to more it is going to hurt when they hit something. And older ones had questions that I would of think by now anybody would of figuired out. One thing I did pick up and now I have ICE on my cell phone for "In Case Emergency", so not total loss of $$ on time.

I went once. They should be ashamed of themselves for thinking people are dumb enough to learn anything from that waste of time. The things they present make you wonder just how bad a driver would have to be to learn anything there. I was a licensed driving instructor for many years, teaching cars, motorcycle and trucks. I would have lost my State license if I tried to present that poor excuse for anything of value...

We took it last year; a friend teaches it. (No, we didn't get a "break." ) It is pretty basic, but we learned a few things - new ways to look at old knowledge, etc. And we got a bit of a break on our insurance afterwards too.

I did the AAA course too, cost more than I recouped in three years ubtil they said I had to take the class again to retain the discount. Waste of time and money.

I have the ICE numbers in you phonebook too, only one phone number per entry one is for HOME so I put my DW's cell under "Wife's Cell Phone". Sometimes I like redundancy. We only use our cells for travel or when running errands and turn them off when at home. We're on a prepaid $0.10 per minute plan.

My brother is a retired truck driver.
But has NO clue to telling anyone how to handle a MH.
If it bends in the middle like a Semi he should be able to help.
Not sure at his age up in the 70's what qualifies him as an instructor.believesaves AARP is great. I feel it is a waste and do not belong to it.

My brother is a retired OTR Semi Driver.. He has also, from time to time, worked as a Motor Home "Porter" driver, delivering a Motor home and taking plane or train or bus back to home.

He tells me it's a whole different skill set I have (Driving a Class A) than what he has (160,000 pound EGVW steel hauling semi) Having driven semi and other trucks,,(Though not nearly as much as he) I believe him.

As Jeff Daniels says: DOn't bother me now I'm driving a building!
