My hitch set up does a very good job & is a good match for my TT & TV. However, it's a pain in the a.. every time I connect & disconnect it's a labor of love, bars, pins, friction bars, put it all away, take it all out. Anybody have a better idea for a hitch & sway set up that is less hastle & works well?

I feel your pain and go through the same long drawn out process every trip! And the only thing I could see making it easier is saving money and eventually get a fifth wheel!!

Equalizer or Reese Duel Cam are both integrated anti sway systems and much easier to use then WD with friction bars.

Wow, I am glad I didn't have to deal with sway bars. Can you beef up the suspension so no sway bars needed?

The one suggestion that other people gave us.. Which has helped.. Is to make sure your trailer is very level to the tow vehicle which makes the bars go in a little easier.. And also allows you to leave your unit hitched if you are just stopping for the night.

X2, one lever, cord and E brake Cable. Fifth wheels are so much easier to hook up and tow. Been there done that. I don't miss it one bit.

I've been rving with a TT for the past 7 years. I honestly dont know what the fuss is. I back up, hitch up, connect the plug, chains and break-away, connect the friction anti-sway bars (I have two of them), connect the WD bars and I'm done. Takes me about 10 mins which includes a walk around to make sure nothing is left behind. If I cant get the WD bars as tight as I want I drive to the nearest parking lot and re-adjust there.

I went from a 5th wheel to a TT. I can empathize, but I didn't find it to be to difficult, infact I went from a 25 foot 5 er to a 34 foot TT and they tow about the same, because they are 600 lbs apart. I do get some porpising but it is really not that bad.
