Do as you plan and check the battery, if after charging it it shows good with both the hygrometer and the load tester then reenact it in the driveway. If it goes dead again disconnectthe loads via the breaker panel and try again to narrow it down.

Where in michigan do you live? I'm in st clair shores. If we're nearby, we can walk through the electrical together. You can also pull the battery and have it tested at pep boys, autozone, etc.

I bought a tester and after testing the battery with a load on it, it showed the battery to be bad. I also borrowed another battery and hooked it up and everything works great. So tomorrow I will buy a new battery and install it. A good fathers day project. I really do appreciate the offer though. I'll keep you in mind if I have any more issues. haha.

The +/- debate continually comes up. (Ever since Ben Franklin decided on positive and negative). The long and short of it is that it doesn't really matter which you disconnect, either plus or minus, as long as you go back to the battery and disconnect ALL WIRES going to the battery post, either positive or negative.
Bear in mind if you do put one of these switches in and have it turned off, if you forget to turn it back on you probably will not have your emergency breakaway switch working the brakes. Make sure you turn it back on before you tow.
On one other forum, someone posted three wiring diagrams, switch in positive, switch in negative, and a third with the switch in the positive switching everything but the breakaway switch. Unfortunately I couldn't find the thread.

I saw a Roo 23ss at RV show with the cutoff switch inside the camper by the conveter. I asked the dealer why it was there rather than outside by the battery. His answer: To cutoff the camper from the battery without disconecting the emergency brakes or the TV from the battery. I thought that was pretty clever.

I've yet to see a trailer completely disconnect and need the breakaway switch. I'll take a chance about leaving the switch off. I'm as likely to forget to couple the trailer.
