I could be wrong but I think it has been a year since a nitrogen in tire thread.
hmmmm ..... that reminds me, it must be time to change from winter air to summer air in my tires.

Another advantage of helium in the tires is that when it can warn you of a leak...my making your exhaust sound like Donald Duck!
Seriously, though, the advantage of compressed nitrogen is that it is readily available, and the process of separating the nitrogen out of the air results in you having a really dry gas.

In over 3 years, never once had to add air which I check monthly. My new Kodiak came with nitrogen from the factory! So far, have not had to add air in almost a year. Run what you want and ignore the skeptics. So you are saying that nitrogen in tires is a magical anti leak gas? If I put it in a tire that leaks air, will it stop the leak?

...um, actually yes it will. The nitrogen is a centrifigally based gas. It tends to cling about a central point (like our tire rims) and is therefore much less apt to escape through a leak which would almost always be in the tire tread, which is opposite the rim where the gas clings to.
