Wife says, think chilled shrimp with different dips such as teriyaki sauce, bbq sauce, melted butter, and lime or lemon juice. She also says chicken nuggets can be dipped in these things too. Walmart carries the chilled shrimp and the nuggets.

She also says finger sandwiches using pound cake instead of bread are always a hit. Spread cream cheese, or chicken salad on small pound cake slices.

That's the bridal shower bible from my wife. Me I stay out of those places.

Eton mess is elegant and easy.

Keep it simple. You can use whipped cream in a can, meringues (we like Trader Joe's), and fresh strawberries. We skip the fruit juice. You can also use powdered sugar and a bit of vanilla extract. We stayed in a Manor House is North Yorkshire in England, and the chef had us help him make it including the meringues, but that's way too much work.

Another easy finger food....
Large Flour Tortillas
Packaged Ham Slices
Cream Cheese (Plain or any other)
Sliced Black Olives

Lay out the Tortillas
Spread cream cheese on tortillas
Sprinkle Black Olives on Cream Cheese
Lay ham slices onto of Cream Cheese/Black Olives
Roll up and cut into slices

The cream cheese should hold the outside edge
of the roll up in place, but sometimes you need
toothpicks to hold together.

A strawberry trifle would be a perfect dessert.

Marshmallow Cream Cheese Dip with strawberries and other fruit:

8 oz cream cheese
15 oz jar marshmallow creme

blend together and refrigerate till time to serve

so easy and so good....

finger sandwiches--different types of bread
ham/cream cheese/pickle rollups in flour tortillas
spinach dip with crackers

cheese straws

I just got home from a wedding and the reception had so many kinds of finger foods like above....

Probably going to be hot. A melon salad or melon kabobs, maybe a macaroni crab salad, mini muffins or crossaints, asst cheeses and crackers and cupcakes. Might in want to throw in a fresh vegetable platter.
