Do you only dump when your tanks are full? Or if 1/4 full and putting into storage for a few weeks would you dump?

I go a week between dumps. I always dump and flush when I pack up to head home.

If I was storing it for more than a few days, I'd dump and flush.

Grey water, just let it go (well every other day). Black water that I'll let 'build up' and add a heck of a lot of water before I dump that tank. Going home; flush, etc., and put a couple of bags of ice cubes down the toilet and 1/4 fill of water and a good chug of bleach.
Drive half way home and pull into another dump place and re-dump. The ice/shaking will really clean out the place; the bleach kills damned near every thing else.
So far, so good?

We dump each time we leave a campground, then add 1 gallon back into each tank. No troubles yet doing this in over 100,000 miles. Note we rarely stay in one CG more than a few days.

Always Dump, rinse, and dump again, and then add some water to both tanks before parking it.

the black tank needs lots of water in it when you dump, too little and you risk leaving solids behind.
