Hey Guys!
Every time I try and do a search of any topic I'm looking for such as "sewer smell from kitchen sink", it always comes up no match?
Anyway, I'm getting a sewer smell from the vent under the sink. Any advice?
Thanks,
MM.

That vent is called 'air admittance valve', studor vent.....several names.
It is just a rubber flapper that pulls down (opens) when you drain water from kitchen sink......prevents 'p' trap from being sucked dry. When they don't close off....flapper tang stretched/dirty/warped you get smells back from grey/galley tank. It can smell as bad as black tank odors.
They unscrew (hand tight) and can be found at most any hardware store (ACE/Lowes/Home Depot).
Just replace it..they are cheap.

I don't think ours has a vent under the sink, but often the odor can be caused by not having water in the drain "P" trap.
You might want to check your roof vent to make sure it's clear of any obstructions.
If the problem persists might try covering the under sink vent with a couple scented fabric softener sheets, the type used in clothes dryers and see if that helps.
Good luck

Looking closer at it, there is a cap on that pipe that is solid on the top and has two slots on the sides. It seems very secure on there as I can't unscrew it.
BTW, I have run water in ALL the sinks, etc., and even run the dishwasher.

Should look similar.......

Check and make sure they didn't glue it on....then try to unscrew will large channel lock pliers.
Worst case....cut it off with hacksaw. Glue new female threaded coupler on and screw new one in.

Yes! that should be it! your can replace it or just take it off and try cleaning it. It might be stuck. there is also one under your bathroom sink.

I wrapped duct tape around the slots in the vent.
Also I found my problem was the roof vent is next to the fantastic fan in the kitchen. When I ran water down the drain it would push orders out the roof vent and be sucked in by the fan.

Every now and then we start to have the same problem. Clorox down the drains does the trick.

X2 except,
We use pine sol or like pine cleaner, 2 48oz. bottles ($1 each at the dollar store) and about 2-3 gallons of water into the empty gray tank and drive to our next stop or leave it in for several days. Seems to work for us. I hope this helps, Bill

In our larger DP that had an 80 gallon grey tank, we sometimes had an odor from it when camped for a week or so in hot weather. We used a grey tank solution that took care of it (although I'm sure the ideas above would work, too).
