I too am in the fifth year of using my 2KW Honda an dit still starts on the first crank. All I do is change the oil every now and then...
Like they all say you get what you pay for... I paid $850 for my 2KW Honda EU2000i generator about five years ago. Now they are going for around $900 I think. I got mine from Mayberrys - free shipping - two day delivery back then...
My Posts are IMHO based on my experiences - PM me

No, I'm not serious. Get a Honda or Yamaha.

But the last time I looked at a Champion 2000 it didnt have an electric start. Perhaps that is why they are cheaper than a Honda!!!
Honda 2000 don't have electric start. but, heck they don't need it.
They start so easy, DW can fire them off. (It's kinda like having remote control, actually.)
Then even more reason to go to a Yamaha....wont look at anything without an electric start. JMHO

Yamaha all the way. It has electric start and is so quiet you wouldn't believe it. Mine was a Inverter EF3000iSEB and I loved it. Ran perfect for 2 years. Paid $2200.00 new and just sold it for $1700.00. That's for the 3000/3500 watt version. But I hear great things about almost all of the Yamaha and Honda models.

Hi, your hardest choice should be whether it will be Red or Blue. (Honda or Yamaha) I have a Blue 2400.

No you already did that. Go for lowest dba rating.
That narrows it to Honda or Yamaha. Either is a good choice.
I think you can get them shipped no tax under $900.

I know I'll get flamed, but please don't camp next to me with a running champion.
Sorry, I know they are good generators, but every time I've been near a champion it has been much noiser than a honda and to me not camper friendly.
Stick with a honda 2000, honda 3000 (NOT the 3000 handi please, again to noisy) or one of the quite yamahas.
I believe he is talking about the new Champion inverter generators....
In the same noise class as the Hondas.
