Last week, June 14th, I had a problem with my MH and was stranded on the side of the highway about 40 miles north of Gallup, NM. I called Good Sam ERS sometime between 11AM and noon. I waited for 2 1/2 hours and called back two or three times, only to be told that he was still looking for someone to help me. The last time I called, the guy told me that he had found someone who could come out but it would be another two hours before he could leave! At that point I told him to forget it and I would handle it myself! The next morning I went by a truck shop in Gallup, J & J was the name I believe, to ask his opinion on the problem I had. He told me that he was a service facility for Good Sam ERS and that no one had called him the day before!
I have been with Good Sam ERS for many years but when my contract is out I will be changing to CoachNet.

I understand how frustrated you could be under the circumstances. But do you not believe that Coach Net or AAA or anybody else has not made the same mistake. Do you only give everyone one chance. Think about of it, the people who rely on you might do the same thing. My experiences with GS have been good, but not totally without a problem. JMHO Macktee

I expect Macktee makes a valid point.
Sounds like a problem with data base searches. Google works well when I needed to find service if I have cell phone service.

I understand your frustration, but I would be very hesitant to post my phone and email in such a public forum.

I didn't realize that this was just another regular forum that everyone could see. I thought this was just for Marcus! Thanks for the heads-up!

This must be the one area of RVing where I've been consistently lucky. In the last few years, I've had to use my Good Sam ERS 3 times. All 3 times I got excellent service and quick responses. For the record, I got 1 tire change, 1 tow of truck with 5er attached, and 1 dispatch of a mobile mechanic.

And I expect your experience is typical.
Kind of like with cell service we do not complain about the successful calls but only the 'dropped' calls. In some areas even with Verizon cell service is of a questionable value.
If these companies did not offer value in the minds of most then they would be out of business today. They do attempt to weed out the bad service providers.
